HTML to Elementor
Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 September 2026. The principle has not changed — collect as little as possible, and say plainly what the exceptions are.

HTML to Elementor is run by Leo, an independent developer, as a one-person project. You can reach me at [email protected] about anything on this page.

1. Local processing — your HTML is never uploaded

When you drop a file into the converter or paste source code, all parsing, conversion, preview rendering and template generation happen inside your browser. The Elementor clipboard data and JSON templates the tool produces are created locally and stay on your device until you copy or download them.

No network request sends your HTML, your images, your converted output or the address of your WordPress site to me or to anyone else. You can check this yourself: open the converter, open your browser’s developer tools, run a conversion, and watch the Network panel — no request carries your markup.

2. What is not collected

  • Your HTML source files, page files or the images inside them.
  • The Elementor paste data or JSON templates you generate.
  • Accounts, names, emails or passwords — no registration is required to use the converter.
  • Credentials for, or the address of, your target WordPress site.

3. What is stored in your own browser

The converter remembers your conversion settings (mode, component scope, heading, image, icon, colour and font options) in your browser’s local storage. That data stays on your device, is readable only by this site in that browser, and is never transmitted anywhere. Clearing your browser storage removes it. It holds settings only — never your HTML.

4. Server logs

Like almost every website, the hosting provider and CDN record standard access logs when a page is loaded: IP address, user agent, referring page, timestamp and the URL requested. These logs exist for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting, are not linked to any identity, and are kept for a limited period. They are produced by loading the page itself and have nothing to do with what you convert inside the tool.

5. Advertising and cookies

This site carries advertising from Google AdSense, and the AdSense script is loaded on the pages of this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.com. A full list of what can be set is on the Cookie Policy page.

Advertising never has access to what you convert, because your HTML does not leave your browser in the first place. The two things are independent: ads are served by the page around the tool, not by the tool.

6. Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are shown a consent choice before non-essential cookies — including advertising cookies — are set. That choice is collected and stored through Google Funding Choices, a Google-certified consent management platform. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

7. Contact form and email

If you write through the contact form or by email, I receive what you choose to send: your name, your email address, the topic and your message, including any HTML snippet you attach to describe a problem. It is used only to reply to you and to fix what you described. Please do not send confidential client data — a minimal snippet that reproduces the problem is enough.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data held about you, to object to processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority. Because almost nothing is held — server logs, and any email you have sent — these requests are usually simple to fulfil. Write to [email protected].

9. Children

This site is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 16. Personal data is not knowingly collected from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If what is collected changes, or if the third-party services used change, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Material changes to advertising will also be reflected in the consent choices you are offered.

11. Contact

Questions about this policy: [email protected], or use the Contact page.
